Steel banding corrodes in humid storage and transit environments, transferring rust stain directly onto polished, anodised, coated, or painted metal surfaces. For aluminium extrusions, stainless steel components, galvanised sections, and coated structural steel destined for export markets, rust staining permanently destroys surface quality and triggers cargo rejection at destination.
