Polyester SF Geogrid® – Available Range

Polyester SF Geogrid® is available in two configurations to suit different reinforcement requirements. The Uniaxial range (SFUG) provides reinforcement in one primary load direction, while the Biaxial range (SFBG) delivers reinforcement in both longitudinal and transverse directions. Both ranges are BIS licensed under IS 17373 and IS 17371.

Applications in Civil Infrastructure

Uniaxial PET Geogrid (SFUG) is the global standard for Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) wall reinforcement. It interlocks with backfill soil to create a unified composite mass, allowing engineers to build near-vertical, heavy-load retaining structures with zero creep over a 120-year design life.

Biaxial PET Geogrid (SFBG) acts as a high-strength basal reinforcement layer over soft, yielding subgrades. It actively distributes dynamic traffic loads laterally, drastically reducing required aggregate thickness, preventing differential settlement, and extending the overall pavement lifecycle.

By increasing the internal shear resistance of the soil mass, PET Geogrid enables the construction of much steeper, stable embankments. This minimizes the required structural footprint, avoids costly land acquisition, and provides a permanent framework for vegetative erosion control.
